Refund & Returns Policy
Thanks for shopping at Breedwell. This policy explains how returns, cancellations, and refunds work, including the rights you have as a consumer in the European Union. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you (or someone you nominate, other than the carrier) receive the goods. If your order is delivered in several shipments, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.
To cancel, you only need to tell us before the 14-day period has expired — see “How to start a return or cancellation” below. You don’t have to give a reason.
How to start a return or cancellation
To exercise your right to cancel, tell us your decision by a clear statement. You can:
- Email us at support@breedwell.eu, or
- Complete and send the model cancellation form at the end of this policy.
Once we receive your request, we’ll confirm next steps and where to send your package. Please don’t send items back before contacting us — items returned without a prior request may not be processed.
Returning the goods
After you tell us you wish to cancel, please send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you let us know.

Return shipping costs: You are responsible for the direct cost of returning items when you cancel for change-of-mind reasons.
Condition of returned items
You’re welcome to inspect and try on items as you would in a shop to check their size, fit, and characteristics. You are not, however, entitled to use them beyond that.
We inspect every returned item on arrival. If an item shows signs of use beyond simple inspection — for example, it has been worn for an extended period, washed, soiled, stained, scented, damaged, or altered, or its tags have been removed and reattached — you are liable for the loss in value. Because such items cannot be resold as new, we will reduce your refund to reflect that lost value, which may mean no refund is due.
Sealed underwear and swimwear (hygiene seal)
For health and hygiene reasons, underwear and swimwear are sealed. Once the hygiene seal has been broken or removed, these items cannot be returned or refunded. This is a legal exception to the 14-day cancellation right. If the hygiene seal is still intact, these items can be returned within the cooling-off period under the conditions above.
Other items that cannot be returned
The 14-day cooling-off right also does not apply to:
- Custom or personalized products made to your specifications.
- Gift cards.

Please note: Aside from the exceptions listed above, the 14-day cancellation right applies to all eligible items — including items bought on sale or with a discount. Sale items are not excluded from your statutory cancellation right.
Refunds
We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know whether your refund is approved and in what amount.
If approved, we will refund the payments received from you, including the standard delivery cost of the original order. (We don’t refund any extra cost where you chose a faster or more expensive delivery option than our standard one.) Any deduction for reduced value, as described under “Condition of returned items,” will be applied to the refund.
We’ll issue the refund without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after either the day we receive the goods back or the day you give us proof that you’ve sent them — whichever is earlier. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or proof of return.
Refunds are made to your original payment method, and you won’t be charged any fees for the refund. Please note your bank or card provider may need additional time to post the refund.
Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items
This is separate from, and in addition to, your right to cancel. As an EU consumer you are entitled to a legal guarantee of at least two years covering defects that were present at the time of delivery — for example, faulty seams, a broken zip, fabric flaws, or items that don’t match their description. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or failure to follow care instructions, or accidental damage after delivery.
Where an item is covered, we will first offer to repair or replace it. A refund or price reduction is available where repair or replacement isn’t possible, would take an unreasonable amount of time, or the defect is significant.
Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us at support@breedwell.eu as soon as possible if an item is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We cover return shipping costs for faulty, damaged, or incorrect items.
Statutory warranty rights (kellékszavatosság, termékszavatosság, jótállás)
The following is statutory consumer-rights information based on Annex 3 to Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses. These warranty rights apply in addition to the cancellation right described above.
1. Supplier’s warranty for defects (kellékszavatosság)
In what cases can you exercise this right? In the event of defective performance by Breedwell Europe Kft., you may enforce a supplier’s-warranty claim against the company under the rules of the Hungarian Civil Code.
What rights do you have? At your choice, you may request repair or replacement, unless the option you choose is impossible or would involve disproportionate additional cost for the company compared with your other option. If you did not or could not request repair or replacement, you may request a proportionate reduction of the price, have the defect remedied at the company’s expense by someone else, or — as a last resort — withdraw from the contract. You may switch from your chosen warranty right to another, but you bear the cost of switching unless it was justified or the company gave cause for it.
What is the deadline? You must report the defect immediately after discovering it, but no later than two months from discovery. You can no longer enforce your supplier’s-warranty rights beyond the two-year limitation period running from performance of the contract.
Against whom? You may enforce your claim against Breedwell Europe Kft.
Any other condition? Within one year of delivery there is no condition other than reporting the defect, provided you prove that the product was supplied by Breedwell Europe Kft. After one year from delivery, you must prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.
2. Product warranty (termékszavatosság)
In what cases? In the event of a defect in a movable item (product), you may — at your choice — enforce a supplier’s-warranty claim (as above) or a product-warranty claim.
What rights? As a product-warranty claim you may request only the repair or replacement of the defective product.
When is a product defective? A product is defective if it does not meet the quality requirements in force when it was placed on the market, or does not have the characteristics described by the manufacturer.
What is the deadline? You may enforce a product-warranty claim within two years of the product being placed on the market by the manufacturer. After this period you lose this right.
Against whom, and on what condition? You may enforce a product-warranty claim only against the manufacturer or distributor of the product, and you must prove the defect.
When is the manufacturer released? The manufacturer (distributor) is released only if it proves that it did not manufacture or place the product on the market in the course of its business; or that the defect was not detectable according to the state of science and technology when it was placed on the market; or that the defect results from the application of legislation or a mandatory regulatory requirement. Proving one ground is sufficient. You may not enforce a supplier’s-warranty and a product-warranty claim for the same defect at the same time.
3. Guarantee (jótállás)
Mandatory guarantee under Government Decree 151/2003 (IX. 22.) applies to the new durable consumer goods listed in that decree (for example certain electrical and technical goods). Clothing, underwear, swimwear and similar textile products are not subject to mandatory guarantee, so no statutory jótállás applies to our products — your supplier’s-warranty and product-warranty rights above apply in full. We do not currently offer a separate voluntary guarantee; if we ever do, it will not affect your statutory rights.
Exchanges
The fastest way to get what you want is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the new item.
Returns beyond the cooling-off period (30-day goodwill)
As a goodwill gesture, and in addition to your statutory rights above, we accept returns for up to 30 days after delivery. To qualify, items must be unworn, unused, in their original condition and packaging, with all tags attached, and accompanied by proof of purchase. The hygiene-seal rule and the condition requirements above apply equally here — items that have been worn, washed, soiled, or otherwise reduced in value are not eligible for a goodwill return.
For goodwill returns, you are responsible for return shipping, and we refund the price of the item to your original payment method (original delivery costs are not refunded). This goodwill policy is offered at our discretion and does not affect or limit your statutory 14-day cancellation right or your legal guarantee rights described above.
